Missouri Votes Conservation Education Fund

About MVCEF
MVCEF is a common-ground organization that strives to unify the many diverse environmental and conservation groups in Missouri.  Its goal is to build the power of the conservation community and activate conservation-minded voters around the state.  MVCEF is the 501(c)3 sister organization of Missouri Votes Conservation, and is affiliated with the national League of Conservation Voters Education Fund.

Mission
To strengthen the environmental movement by educating voters and decision-makers about the importance of protecting the environment through sound public policy.

Program Areas
Annual Statewide Environmental Summit
The Environmental Summit is the centerpiece program of MVCEF.  This annual event brings together leaders from Missouri's diverse environmental and conservation groups to discuss key issues facing the state - from energy policies, to sand and gravel mining to limits on factory farming. The common-agenda work accomplished at the Summit helps inform the priorities that Missouri Votes Conservation pursues during the ensuing legislative session.

I Vote Green
MVCEF recognizes that caring, well-informed voters are a powerful force for environmental protection. That's why we work to provide Missouri’s citizens the information they need to vote for their environmental values. Do YOU know what it takes to be a green voter?

Candidate Forum on the Environment
During election years, non-partisan candidate forums are an excellent way to help citizens learn how to 'vote green.' Along with partner organizations, MVCEF hosts environmental candidate forums across the state so that voters can learn where their future elected leaders stand on the environmental issues they care about.

Heat Is On
The national Heat Is On campaign is aimed at building a clean energy future for America. MVCEF is partnering with this campaign in Missouri to build community-wide grassroots support for action to combat global warming.

Issues
Learn more about the issues facing Missouri's environment, such as climate change, renewable energy and factory farm limits. Our Resources section features a variety of links to other organizations, research papers, and even opinion polls.
