Criteria for Endorsement
MVC chooses to endorse selected candidates for the state House and Senate who value sound environmental policy as a high priority.  Endorsements are based on various criteria, including:

• Responses to the  2010 MVC Candidate Questionnaire
• Personal interviews
• A track record that indicates leadership and strong commitment to environmental protection, and (in the case of incumbents) their legislative records in the General Assembly.

MVC convenes a number of endorsement committees throughout the state, each of which examine the candidates in their regions on the above criteria.  After they make their selections, the committees then submit their endorsement recommendations to the MVC Board of Directors.
